19世纪，英国科学家及发明家麦可·法拉第（Michael Faraday），发现压缩及液化某种气体可以将空气冷冻，此现象出现在液化氨气蒸发时，当时其意念仍停留于理论化。
In the 19th century, Michael Faraday, a British scientist and inventor, discovered that compressed and liquefied gases could freeze air. This phenomenon occurred when liquefied ammonia vaporized, and the idea remained theoretical.
